JobiQ

Privacy

Last updated 18 August 2026. This is a draft pending legal review.

Who is responsible

JobiQ, a company operating in the United Arab Emirates, decides what personal data is collected here and why. In the language of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), JobiQ is the controller.

What we collect today

Right now jobiq.ae does one thing: it takes an early-access signup. That record is your email address, whether you told us you are looking for work or hiring, and — if you arrived from a link we published — which channel that link was on. There is nothing else in it. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not set analytics cookies.

Why we are allowed to hold it

You gave it to us, on purpose, to be told when registration opens. Under PDPL that is consent, and it is the only basis we rely on for the signup list. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it means we delete the record rather than merely stop emailing you.

What changes when registration opens

Registration is not live yet. When it is, candidates will be able to upload a CV and employers a trade licence, and the account will hold the profile details you enter — name, contact details, work history, education, skills, and the preferences you set. This page will be updated in the same release, before any of it is accepted.

We will not ask for Emirates ID, passports or visa documents at registration. That is a deliberate decision, not an oversight.

Third-party AI processing (not active yet)

When document upload ships, an uploaded CV or trade licence will be sent to third-party AI services to read the text and turn it into structured profile fields. The providers we intend to use are Google (Gemini), Groq and Anthropic. This is disclosed here in advance so it is never a surprise.

Two things you should know before that feature exists. Some of these services operate free tiers whose terms permit the provider to use submitted content to improve their own models — so a document you upload may not stay solely within JobiQ’s control. And the processing happens on infrastructure outside the UAE. You will be asked to consent specifically at the point of upload, and there will always be a way to type your details in by hand instead. Extraction is a convenience, never a condition of registering.

Who else touches your data

Supabase hosts our database, in a data centre in Mumbai, India. Vercel serves the website. Both act on our instructions only and neither sells or reuses your data. Because our database sits outside the UAE, holding your record involves a cross-border transfer; we rely on your consent and on the contractual terms these providers are bound by.

How long we keep it

The signup list is kept until registration opens and you either create an account or ask us to remove you. If registration has not opened within 12 months of your signup, we delete the list. Account data, once accounts exist, is kept while the account is open and for 30 days after you delete it, after which it is purged rather than archived.

Your rights, and how to use them

Under PDPL you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for a copy in a portable format, object to how we are using it, and withdraw consent. You do not need to give a reason and we will not charge you.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the UAE Data Office. We would rather you told us first, but that route is yours and we will not stand in the way of it.

Security

The signup list is not readable through our public API — the database refuses read access to it outright, and only server-side administrative credentials can see it. Traffic to the site is encrypted. We will tell you without delay if a breach ever puts your data at real risk.

Children

JobiQ is for people seeking work in the UAE and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data, and we delete it if we find we have.

Changes to this page

When we change how we handle your data we update this page and change the date at the top. For a change that materially affects you — such as document upload and the AI processing described above going live — we will tell you directly rather than relying on you to re-read this.
